Lecture

Marco Costantini, born in 1970 in Switzerland, is an art historian, exhibition curator, and associate director of the Mudac, the Cantonal Museum of Design and Contemporary Applied Arts in Lausanne.

This May 20, at 8 pm, he will be talking about Beirut, a modernity through architecture and design.

When it became independent in 1943, Lebanon was building a future open to both the West and the East. This takes shape especially in the Hamra district with its international style architecture and new design proposals.

The conference will be preceded by a guided tour of the exhibition 'Beirut. Eras of design' at 6:30 pm, a drink and a tasting of Lebanese specialties at 7:30 pm.
